Privacy

Bobber is a Discord bot that runs a fishing card collection game. Here's what it stores and why.

What it keeps

That's all of it. Bobber doesn't store your username, your email, or your messages beyond the commands you send it.

What it doesn't do

Where it lives

On a private rented server, in a single database file. Only the operator can reach it.

How long it's kept

For as long as the bot runs, so your collection is still there when you come back.

Getting it deleted

Ask in the support server. Your collection is removed permanently and there's no undoing it.

Age

Discord requires you to be 13 or older, or older where your local law says so. Bobber isn't intended for anyone under that.

Changes

If this changes, the new version goes up here and gets announced in the support server.

Terms

Using Bobber means agreeing to these.

Using the bot

Bobber is free, in any server where someone with permission has added it.

Don't:

Any of those can get your access removed, with or without warning.

Your collection

Cards, coins, fillets and gear exist only inside the game. They have no monetary value, can't be bought with real money, and can't be exchanged for anything outside it.

Selling or buying cards or accounts for real money isn't allowed.

No guarantees

Bobber is provided as-is. It can go offline, lose data, change its rules, or stop entirely. Drop rates, prices and mechanics get adjusted as the game is balanced.

Backups are taken and player data is looked after, but no guarantee is made that a collection will last forever.

Changes to the game

Balance changes, new content, and things being removed are part of a live game. Anything significant gets announced in the support server.

Ending access

Access can be removed at any time for breaking these terms. You can stop using the bot whenever you want, and ask for your data to be deleted.

Changes to these terms

Updated terms go up here and get announced in the support server.

Contact

Everything goes through the support server. Bugs, questions, data deletion — same place.
